๐Ÿ“š It's DEAR Time so Drop Everything And Read!! ๐Ÿ“š
The first Friday of each month is designated as a time when EVERYONE at CCSA from the youngest scholar to the oldest and every staff member reads. This it what it looks like when 700 students from Kindergarten to grade 12 and every adult decides to choose reading!

๐Ÿ“šโค๏ธ Let's Get Ready to ๐‘น๐‘ฌ๐‘จ๐‘ซ! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ“š

Our students gathered in the gym for a special assembly to kick off our reading initiative. We celebrated the top readers from last year and set their sights toward the goals for this year. If scholars hit the 25 million word goal, there will be a performance by CCSA's own version of Huntrix from KPop Demon Hunter's and for 40 million words Mrs. Watts will be covered in worms. Happy reading scholars!

Events like these remind our students that reading isn't just about learning, it's about exploring, imagining, and discovering new adventures, one page at a time! ๐Ÿ“š

On Tuesday, our CCSA high school art students had the opportunity to visit The Symposium Art Gallery in Chester, a community-centered space celebrating Black art, culture, and creativity!

This visit gave our students an opportunity to explore artistic expression, experience art within their own community, and gain inspiration for their own creative journeys.

We love seeing our students learn, explore, and connect with the arts beyond the classroom! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿค

This past Friday, we welcomed our alumni back for our Alumni Fun Hour, and what a great time we had!

We fired up the grill, played games, sang our hearts out with karaoke ๐ŸŽค, gave away some awesome prizes ๐ŸŽ, and most importantly, reconnected with our CCSA alumni!

It was wonderful seeing familiar faces, catching up, sharing laughs, and continuing to strengthen our alumni community.

A huge ๐™๐™ƒ๐˜ผ๐™‰๐™† ๐™”๐™Š๐™ to everyone who took the time to join us! We hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we enjoyed having you.

This is only the beginning! Weโ€™re looking forward to more opportunities to reconnect, have fun, and bring our alumni together throughout the year. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ–ค
