We have a massive shout-out to give today, and honestly, we couldn’t say it loudly enough!

A huge, heartfelt 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆! 💖

From awesome performers and special events to all the supplies for our weekly activities, the Friends have completely covered it. They work so hard behind the scenes to make sure our community has access to all the summer fun imaginable without a single barrier.

We are so incredibly lucky to have them in our corner. The next time you see a member of the Friends of the Library, please give them a high-five or a giant thank you!

🦖 Look who came to the library today! 🦖

A special dinosaur visitor stopped by the circulation desk and even signed up for a library card! We think he heard that summer is the perfect time to visit the library and that our library is transforming into a prehistoric adventure as we decorate for this year’s Unearth a Story-themed Summer Reading Program!

If you don’t have a library card yet, now is the time to get one! Stop in, sign up, and join our Summer Reading Program (June 29th) for a season full of books, activities, prizes, and fun for all ages.

Don’t let the dinosaurs have all the fun—we hope to see you at the library this summer! 📚☀️

🇺🇸 A Heartfelt Thank You to Judy and Mel Balk! 🇺🇸

The Chester Public Library would like to extend our sincere thanks to Judy and Mel Balk for their generous donation of a gorgeous 250th Anniversary Gift Basket, which we will be raffling off to support the library!

This patriotic basket is packed with wonderful items, including a 250th Anniversary flag, a patriotic cookbook, tea bags, bracelets, a copy of the Declaration of Independence, chocolate bars, a memo kit, peanut butter cups, a keychain, and even cheese straws and peach salsa from President Thomas Jefferson's Monticello!

Adding to the basket's special significance, Judy is a direct descendant of Edward Rutledge, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, making this a truly meaningful tribute to our nation's history as we celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
