Science Screen Report Bringing Science To Life In The Classroom Since 1970!
(2)

For more than forty-four years, SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT® has been a trusted resource of objective science news reporting for high school science teachers and is one of the longest running educational video series in existence. The critically acclaimed, award winning STEM DVD series, and its elementary school edition, SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT FOR KIDS®, is produced by Allegro Productions, Inc. in cooperation with the Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology and The National Museum of Education. The programs examine the most recent developments and discoveries in science and technology. They are designed to help students understand the vital role science plays in our everyday lives and to address critical issues facing society today, as well as being an economic driver that creates well-paying career opportunities.

Mission: To encourage private enterprise to work in cooperation with the academic community in raising the standard of STEM education in America's schools; to inform, motivate and transport young people to visual adventures in science and technology that are a part of our everyday lives. This is in keeping with a Presidential dictum calling upon business and industry to have greater participation in the education of America's students. "What the future holds in store for individual human beings, the nation, and the world, depends largely on the wisdom with which humans use science and technology. And that, in turn, depends on the character, distribution, and effectiveness of the education that people receive" -Science For All Americans, AAAS, 1989. SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT is a proud participant in the National Science Foundation's Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST)

Covid-19 is changing the way we teach and learn. In times of national emergency, it is critical that students have instant access to supplemental materials outside the classroom via the cloud and distance learning. SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT has been used by teachers and students for 50 years and we have continually changed with the times. From 16mm film to CD-ROM to Cloud-based and streaming, we have always been on the forefront of education technology with award winning content.

From late Winter to early Spring, the transition from classroom to homeschool was seamless and SCIENCE SCREEN REPORT was utilized on smart phones, tablets, as well as computers. All courtesy of corporations that understand the importance of keeping kids engaged in science at such uncertain times. These kids, after all, are the future scientists, researchers and innovators who will tackle the day’s problems and keep the world safe from ourselves and the unknown.

If you are a foundation, corporation, sports team, or have anything to do with manufacturing, technology, medicine, healthcare or engineering, we encourage you to be part of our initiative to improve STEM education in the nation's schools. Here at SSR we are HUGE fans of all renewables but we especially like wind and the giant wind turbines that help create the energy we need to distance ourselves from fossil fuels. Kids need to learn about this stuff. They are not running home to watch science on NETFLIX so it is imperative that we give teachers the resources to educate them through a format that they are accustomed to: YouTube type videos.
