🚑 Happy EMS Week from Chester Ambulance ❤️

This week is about recognizing the people behind the uniforms; the ones who get up in the middle of the night, miss holidays and family dinners, run on caffeine and adrenaline, and still show up ready to help someone on what may be their worst day.

EMS isn’t just lights and sirens. It’s holding a hand when someone is scared, staying calm when things feel chaotic, making quick decisions, and showing up for our community no matter the hour.

To our Chester Ambulance crew, thank you for the heart you bring to this job, the sacrifices you make, and the care you give every single day. This work isn’t always easy, and it often happens behind the scenes, but it matters more than words can say.

If you see an EMS provider this week, show them a little love, they’ve earned it. 🚑💙

Today, we want to recognize and thank all of the incredible mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, bonus moms, and mother figures in our community and within our service.

Whether you’re caring for your family at home, supporting your community, or answering the call to help others. Your strength, compassion, and dedication never go unnoticed.

A special thank you to the moms working today in EMS, fire, law enforcement, healthcare, dispatch, and beyond. Even on holidays, your commitment to caring for others continues.

6 medical calls within minutes/hours of each other.
2 brush fires assisted alongside the fire department.

The tones didn’t stop — and neither did our crews. Proud of the teamwork, dedication, and commitment shown by everyone today to keep our community safe.

🚨 NEW GEAR ALERT 🚨

Our new ZOLL monitor is officially in service on A1! 🚑

This upgrade gives our crews better tools to provide high-quality care when it matters most. This equipment was made possible in part by our AFG grant—thanks to strong grant writing efforts, bringing in nearly $60,000 to support our service. Proud to continue improving what we bring to our community. 💙

Today was a perfect example of what Chester Ambulance is all about.

A2 spent the day working alongside Chester, VT Fire Department on ice rescue training, then headed over to the Legion Easter Egg Hunt after to join A1 and connect with the community. Also there was Chester, VT Police Department and Chester Town Highway!

From critical training to community events—we’re here for it all.

🍀🚑 Chester Ambulance Service & Chester DPS – St. Patrick’s Day Safety Message 🚓🍀

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Chester! Whether you’re out celebrating with friends, enjoying a parade, or just wearing your best green gear, we want everyone to have a fun and safe holiday.

Here are a few quick tips to keep the day lucky for all the right reasons:

🍻 Don’t Drink & Drive
If you’re planning to drink, make a plan before you go out. Use a designated driver, rideshare, or call a friend. One bad decision can change everything.

🚶 Stay Aware in Crowds
Large gatherings can get hectic. Keep track of your group, watch your surroundings, and have a meet-up spot in case you get separated.

💧 Hydrate & Pace Yourself
Mix in water, eat throughout the day, and know your limits. Green beer still counts as alcohol!

🚑 Know When to Call for Help
If someone is too intoxicated, unresponsive, or injured—don’t hesitate to call 911. We’d rather check things out early than have it become serious.

🚦 Watch the Roads
Drivers—expect increased foot traffic. Pedestrians—use crosswalks and stay visible, especially after dark.

🚑 Chester — we’re looking for people from our community who want to help their neighbors.

Chester Ambulance is looking for new members to join our team.

You do NOT need to already be in EMS. We welcome both certified and non-certified members, and we’re happy to help guide people toward training if they’re interested in getting started.

If you’ve ever thought about learning skills like CPR, emergency care, or helping on an ambulance, this could be a great opportunity.

If you’ve ever wanted to give back to your community, learn lifesaving skills, or try something new, we’d love to talk with you.

Feel free to stop by the station Monday-Thursday between the hours of 8am-4pm to speak with someone, message us on here, or even give us a call on our non emergency line!
