🌟 **A Piece of Our History Returns Home** 🌟

We’re thrilled to share a special moment for Chester Township Fire Company 47, formerly known as Felton Hose and Chemical Company 1. We recently received a heartfelt donation: an old black-and-white photo dating back to the late 1920s to mid-1930s. Thanks to AI enhancement, we now have a vibrant color version of this cherished image!

This precious photo comes from a local resident whose mother was a beloved member of our Ladies Auxiliary. Although she passed away many years ago, her daughter felt a strong connection to our history and wanted to return this piece of our legacy to us.

We extend our deepest gratitude for this generous gift. Standing on the shoulders of those who came before us, we are proud to continue their legacy 105 years later, ready to assist the generations that follow!

Last week was a busy week for us. On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, we were honored to have been invited to Chi Nigh Out. During the event, we were visited by Councilwoman Grace Bell from Chester Township. We showed her around and she even got on the trucks! Then on Saturday, we were at Chester Township Day, which also doubled as their Back-to-School event. The work never stops! 🔥🚒🧯🧑🏻‍🚒👩🏻‍🚒👨🏻‍🚒

Earlier today, Chester Township Fire Company provided station coverage for Yeadon Fire Company while their members were away attending a training.

Our members stood by at Yeadon’s station, ready to respond and provide assistance to the community if needed.

We’re proud to work alongside our neighboring departments and support each other through training, emergency response, and station coverage. 🚒🤝

🚒 Station Coverage Assignment 🚒

At 0357 hrs, the members of Chester Township Fire Company were dispatched to Upper Chichester Fire Department to provide station coverage while their crews remain committed to an active emergency incident.

Our members and apparatus are still currently standing by at Upper Chichester Fire Department, alongside Middletown Fire Company and Yeadon Fire Company, ensuring uninterrupted emergency response coverage for the Upper Chichester community until their units become available.

We wish all crews operating at the incident a safe and successful operation, and we thank our mutual aid partners for working together to keep our communities protected.

🌟🎆 **Happy 250th America!** 🎆🌟

This July 4th, the **Chester Township Fire Company 47** proudly participated in Aston Township’s fireworks detail at **Sun Valley High School**. Our team, including **Squad 47**, **Command 47**, and **ATV 47**, was on site before, during, and after the spectacular show.

Despite Mother Nature adding her own dramatic flair with a torrential downpour, our members and their families enjoyed an unforgettable evening. While many spectators dashed for cover, our dedicated crews remained at their posts, ensuring safety and security until the skies cleared.

It’s been a long road,but today we finally had our training with Darley. Several members performed pump and driver’s training on the “NEW” Squad 47. Driver and pump training will continue throughout the month of April. Our new battery operated tools will be mounted, along with supply and attack lines. The new squad will be in service by the end of April. 💪

Thank you to all who made our new truck possible. Special thanks to Charles “Chuck”Evans for working on Easter weekend, Dave Smiley for all of his hard work and dealing with “Me”throughout the whole process. It wasn’t easy 😂.
