Enrollment is now open for CUSD's FREE Pre-K Counts program for the 2026-27 school year. 📚🎨

Our full-day program provides young learners with engaging, hands-on experiences that help build early literacy, social skills, creativity, and a love of learning. Certified teachers, small class sizes, and a nurturing environment help prepare children for success in kindergarten and beyond.

Students who need to recover credits should register for Summer School today or tomorrow. Registration will take place from 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at ESA Middle School both days.

Happy Juneteenth, CUSD!! ❤️💛💚🖤


Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African American in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free.This was 2️⃣ years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

Today, we celebrate freedom, reflect on our nation's history, and honor the strength, resilience, and contributions of American Americans.

There are dozens of events taking place locally and in the area to commemorate the holiday throughout the weekend. Consider taking the entire family to an activity. It'll be fun. ❤️

Now that all of our graduation, promotion, and move-up ceremonies have wrapped up, we're taking a look back at the special moments that made the end of the year for CUSD so memorable. 🎓✨

We're starting with our Main Street Elementary School - CUSD scholars as we celebrated our Pre-K, Kindergarten, and 5th Grade students who reached important milestones and took the next step in their educational journey.

Congratulations to CUSD’s Class of 2026! We are excited to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating seniors as they prepare to walk across the stage and begin their next chapter.
