The Chester County Sheriff’s Office, along with local EMS and Fire departments, will be conducting a joint active shooter training exercise this weekend.

📍 Location: Chester County Government Office (1476 J A Cochran Bypass, Chester, SC 29706)
📅 Date: Saturday, June 20, 2026
⏰ Time: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

What to expect if you are in the area:
• A heavy increased presence of Law Enforcement, EMS, and Fire vehicles/personnel.
• Loud noises, vehicle sirens, and simulated gunfire.

UPDATE 6/11/26 3:58PM- Sheriff’s Deputies have cleared the immediate area but are actively following up on leads submitted by the public.

UPDATE 6/11/26 2:35PM- Chester County Sheriff's Deputies are still actively searching for Isaiah Spake.

Our K9 Tracking Team and Drone Team are on scene assisting in the efforts.

MISSING PERSON - JUVENILE

The Chester County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for Isaiah Spake, age 16.

Isaiah went missing from Donnie Circle in Chester between 1AM and 11AM on Thursday, June 11th, 2026.

He was last seen wearing a dark blue or orange shirt, cloth type shorts, and American flag "Hey Dude" shoes. He is approximately 5’5” in height and 110 lbs.

We ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts please call 911.

Today, June 9, 2026 around 6:30 A.M., Chester County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the area of Westbrook Road.

This call was in reference to a shooting incident. Upon arrival, Sheriff’s Deputies located one victim who had been shot. The victim was later pronounced deceased.

An active investigation was immediately initiated and Chester Sheriff’s Investigators were able to quickly identify the suspect as 64 year old Wayne Emile Jacob.

As a result of the investigation so far, Sheriff’s Investigators were able to immediately secure the suspect at the scene and will be seeking an arrest warrant for the following crime:

-Murder

Jacob has been transported to the Chester County Detention Center.

This is an ongoing and active investigation that may result in additional charges.
