Enon Volunteer Fire Department The Enon Volunteer Fire Department was formed in December 1949 by members of the Enon community.

Today it is the only all-volunteer fire station in Chesterfield County. We serve along side our career family of Chesterfield Fire & EMS. Volunteer Fire and EMS Department located just west of the City of Hopewell. We serve the local Enon community as well as the County of Chesterfield and surrounding jurisdictions as needed. We are one of two all-volunteer Fire stations in Chesterfield County. We

are always in need of Volunteers for various jobs, from Administrative or Support, to Firefighters & EMT's.

Chesterfield Fire and EMS is saddened to report the passing of retired Lt. Robert “Dean” Clary, who lost his valiant battle with cancer earlier today.

Lt. Clary was a 28-year veteran of Chesterfield Fire and EMS. Prior to his retirement in 2024, he served in various roles at the Chester, Wagstaff, Bensley, Ettrick, Harrowgate, Manchester, Winterpock, Courthouse Road, and Matoaca Fire Stations. Lt. Clary was also a paramedic and during his career with the department he received several awards for his service to the community, including for helping save the life of a patient during Hurricane Isabel in 2003.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Dean’s family during this extremely difficult time.

We are sad to announce that we have to cancel the Brunswick Stew sale planned for Saturday Jan 31 2026. With the incoming weather and extreme cold, we had to make the hard decision to cancel.
We will keep everyone posted if we are able to reschedule.

Good afternoon Enon residents! We want to address some misinformation surrounding several videos and posts, circulating on social media, claiming that ICE agents were using the Enon Volunteer Fire Department as a place to gather before conducting raids. That information is false. Local and state police did stage at the Enon Volunteer Fire Department earlier today (Thursday), prior to serving a warrant in the area. However, no federal agents of any kind were involved.

On an unrelated matter, we have a significant winter storm on the way and we have been preparing to staff the station and help provide services to you and the surrounding communities. Be prepared and stay safe Enon!
