The Disabled American Veterans and the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary meet every second Monday of each Month at 5 pm at the Clubhouse, 623 Baseball Alley or Brice St, Chester, SC but do not use as our mailing address. The Purpose of the DAV: To uphold and maintain the Constitution and the laws of the United States; to realize the true American ideals and aims for which those eligible to memb
ership fought; to advance the interests and work for the betterment of all wounded, gassed, injured and disabled veterans; to cooperate with the United States Department of Veteran Affairs and all other public and private agencies devoted to the cause of improving and advancing the condition, health and interest of all wounded, gassed, injured and disabled veterans; to stimulate a feeling of mutual devotion, helpfulness, and comradeship among all wounded, gassed, injured and disabled veterans; to serve our comrades, our communities and our country; and to encourage in all people that spirit of understanding which will guard against future wars. Membership: Any man or woman, who was wounded, gassed, injured or disabled in the line of duty during time of war, while in the service of either the military or naval forces of the US of America, and who has not been dishonorably discharged or separated from such service, or who may still be in active service in the armed forces of the US of America is eligible for membership in the DAV. Others, who are disabled while serving with any of the armed forces of any nations associated with the US of America as allies during any of its war periods, who are American citizens and who are honorably discharged, are also eligible. The Purpose of the DAV Auxiliary: Shall be to uphold and maintain the Constitution and laws of the US; to realize the true American ideals and aims for which those eligible for DAV membership fought; to advance the interests and work for the betterment of all wounded, injured, and disabled veterans; to cooperate with all patriotic organizations and public agencies devoted to the cause of improving and advancing the condition, health and interest of wounded, injured, or disabled veterans and their families; to stimulate a feeling of mutual devotion, helpfulness and comradeship among all members and to encourage in all people that spirit of understanding which will guard against future wars. Membership: The family and extended family members of any person eligible for membership in the Disabled American Veterans, or members of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary (living or deceased) or a veteran not dishonorably discharged, are eligible for membership in the DAV Auxiliary.
