The Chester Police Department wants to remind everyone to lock your vehicles and to remove valuables from your vehicles, and as simple as it seems, don’t leave your keys in your vehicles. We have had several vehicles broken into, all of which were unlocked.

We are receiving a lot of reports of citizens receiving this either by mail, text or other electronic means. Rest assured this is a scam, police departments will never contact you by phone to tell you that you owe money or that you have a warrant, etc. if you receive this particular message, delete it immediately, thank you very much

This week, the Chester Police Department had the pleasure of hosting Scouts from Den 11 for a visit at the department. During their visit, Officer Laramore and his K9 partner Freddy demonstrated some of Freddy’s trained skill sets and explained how the K9 team assists in protecting the citizens of Chester and the surrounding areas.

The Scouts enjoyed seeing Freddy in action and learning about the important role police K9 units play in law enforcement.

We appreciate Den 11 taking the time to stop by and learn more about what we do, and we always enjoy opportunities to connect with the young members of our community.

🌟 Feel Good Friday! 🌟

We’re thrilled to celebrate the incredible teamwork that led to a lifesaving outcome!

A huge congratulations to Paramedic Andrew and EMT Benjamin on their Clinical Save. When a critical 911 call came in, EMD Kyla immediately initiated MPDS protocols and provided CPR instructions over the phone until help arrived. Her swift actions set the stage for success.

We also want to extend special thanks to Chester Police Department Officers Louveau and Jany for their rapid response and support on scene.

Thanks to the quick thinking, coordinated efforts, and exceptional care from everyone involved, the team achieved ROSC (Return of Spontaneous Circulation), and the patient was safely transported to the hospital.
👏 Outstanding work, team — your dedication truly makes a difference!

Lake Fogerson, Chester Police Department’s Evidence Technician, spent time with Cub Scouts of Bear Den 11 teaching them about forensic science. The Scouts were engaged, asked great questions, and had a blast learning how forensics worked during real investigations.

Our city crews have been out plowing roads all night, inspite of this, dangerous winter weather conditions continue to create hazardous road conditions🌨️

For your safety and the safety of first responders, do not travel unless absolutely necessary. Severe conditions may delay emergency response to stranded motorists. Staying off the roads helps prevent crashes and allows emergency crews to focus on critical emergencies.
