Today, we celebrate a very special milestone as our fifth-grade scholars prepare to take the next step in their educational journey.

Families, friends, alumni, and community members are invited to tune in and celebrate the accomplishments, growth, and memories of the Chester Elementary School Class of 2026. We are incredibly proud of our students and all they have achieved during their elementary school years. Chester Elementary School’s youngest scholars proudly showcased their writing talents during Ms. Pskowski’s First Grade Writing Celebration!

Families were welcomed into the classroom to celebrate the incredible growth their children have made as writers throughout the year. Parents and guardians made themselves comfortable around the room as students eagerly shared pieces from their writing portfolios, reading aloud writing tasks that reflected their hard work, imagination, and developing skills.

This special event not only highlighted students’ progress as writers but also strengthened the important home-to-school connection that supports student success. By sharing their work with loved ones, students had the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments while families gained a firsthand look at the learning taking place in the classroom each day.

We are so proud of these young authors for confidently sharing their voices and showcasing all they have learned this year. Thank you to the families who joined us in making this celebration of literacy, learning, and partnership such a meaningful experience! 🌟📝

Chester Elementary School proudly hosted its 3rd Grade Writers’ Celebration! Families, faculty, staff, and peers gathered to recognize the hard work and creativity of the talented student authors in Ms. Bonito’s, Ms. Carola’s, Ms. Brink’s, and Ms. Frambach’s classes.

Throughout the celebration, students confidently shared their original writing aloud, showcasing the storytelling skills, creativity, and growth they have developed throughout the school year. From imaginative narratives to engaging literary pieces, each author demonstrated the power of their voice and the joy of writing.

We are incredibly proud of our young writers for their dedication, courage, and enthusiasm as they shared their work with an audience. Congratulations to all of our third-grade authors on a wonderful year of learning and writing! 📝🌟

To Perform, or Not to Perform? That Was Never the Question: Today, Chester Elementary School proudly celebrated its 8th Annual Shakespeare Performances, proving once again that elementary students can absolutely bring the Bard to life!

Over the past several months, students in Mr. Knight’s fourth-grade class and Ms. Quackenbush’s, Miss Beyer’s, Mrs. Cinque’s, and Miss Krauss’s fifth-grade classes embraced the challenge of Shakespeare. They learned unfamiliar vocabulary, explored complex characters, practiced expressive speaking, memorized lines, and gained confidence with every rehearsal.

With the support of their teachers, school community, and special guest Davis McCallum, Artistic Director of Hudson Valley Shakespeare, students took center stage and dazzled a packed audience with their Shakespeare-inspired performances. Their talent, courage, and teamwork shined brighter than the stage lights. The sound of applause and excitement were palpable and all who attended left with big smiles on their faces.

Bravo to our young performers for showing that Shakespeare’s timeless themes of friendship, family, bravery, mistakes, and love can inspire learners of every age! 🎭👏

☀️🧺 Our CES kindergarten students and their families enjoyed a beautiful morning together at today’s Kindergarten Picnic! Families shared snacks and special moments with their children while watching friendships shine as students laughed, played, and socialized with classmates.

From playground fun to quality family time, the morning was filled with smiles, laughter, and memories that will last long after the school year ends. Thank you to all of our families for joining us as we celebrated a fantastic year of learning, growth, and friendship! We are so proud of our kindergarteners and wish them continued success as they move forward on their educational journey!

Our youngest learners took center stage at the CES Pre-K Showcase, delighting families and staff with entertaining songs that highlighted all they have learned and accomplished this year. From building early literacy and math skills to growing as confident, curious learners, these little scholars have come so far!

We are incredibly proud of their hard work, enthusiasm, and achievements throughout the year. As they take their next big step, we wish them all the best on their kindergarten journey. Keep shining, little scholars, we can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll do! 💙🧡

UPDATE: NOAH TOP 5 IN NEW YORK STATE! 🧡💙🏃‍♂️

Congratulations to Chester Academy’s Noah Aptekarev on an outstanding performance at the NYSPHSAA New York State Track & Field Championships! Competing against the fastest athletes in New York and entering the meet seeded 7th, Noah advanced to the finals and finished an impressive 5th in the state in the 100-meter dash.

This remarkable achievement is a testament to Noah’s hard work, dedication, and determination throughout the season. Special congratulations to Coach Patricia Ganz for her guidance, support, and commitment in helping Noah reach this incredible milestone. We are incredibly proud of the way Noah represented Chester Academy on the state’s biggest stage. Congratulations on an unforgettable season and an outstanding Top 5 finish in New York State! 🎉🏅
