Congratulations 🎉

Chesterfield Township is proud to announce that our Fire Department has officially been awarded International Accreditation Status after a years-long process!

Chesterfield Township is the first fire department in Macomb County to achieve CFAI Accredited Agency status, putting the department in a very small but elite class of fire agencies across the state. Only three other departments in Michigan, Grand Rapids, Canton Township, and Metro Airport, have previously earned this distinction.

Chesterfield Fire Department earned its accreditation after completing the rigorous voluntary self-assessment and accreditation process and demonstrating that it met more than 250 criteria established by the Commission. The department joins a select group of more than 300 agencies internationally to achieve Accredited Agency status through CFAI. Less than 2% of fire departments nationwide have achieved this distinction.

“This achievement demonstrates the commitment of the Chesterfield Township Fire Department to providing the highest quality of service to our community,” said Fire Chief Craig Miller.
“The accreditation process allowed us to take a comprehensive look at what we do, identify areas where we can improve, and develop a clear path for the future of this department.”

Great news for our community! 🎉

At last nights meeting, the board approved free annual parking passes for Residents at Brandenburg Park. Residents have another reason to enjoy one of our township’s most beautiful spots.

This has been something many residents have asked for, and it’s wonderful to see it finally happen.

Brandenburg Park is truly a gem on Lake St. Clair, and now it’s even easier to stop by. It’s a great place for a walk, time with family, or to take in the stunning sunrises over the water and now it’s more accessible for everyone who calls this community home.

Looking forward to seeing more of you enjoying Brandenburg Park! 🌅
