Another take is what happens when annexation takes place and the county loses tax base also? It could be a double-sided sword something to think on

Could a little-known amendment in Jefferson County stop future growth projects before they start? Crystal City Mayor Mike Osher says a state annexation bill could have blocked the James Hardie project and limit property owners who want to join a city. Now mayors across Jefferson County are urging Governor Kehoe to step in. Read the full article in the comments below 👇

Update on the Festis recall

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨🚨🚨
FESTUS, Mo. — Mayor Sam Richards and three Festus City Council members are pushing back hard against recall petitions filed against them, with their attorney arguing the petitions are riddled with legal deficiencies and should never make it to the ballot.

In a letter dated June 1, 2026, Jefferson City attorney Charles W. Hatfield of Stinson LLP — representing Mayor Richards, Ward 1 Council Member David Boyer, Ward 3 Council Member Kevin Dennis, and Ward 4 Council Member Mike Cook — formally notified the City of Festus’s legal counsel that the recall petitions fail to meet the requirements of Missouri law on multiple fronts. 👇Full article link in the comments below 👇

METG reply to this subject
Laura Massey
I too was not allowed to stay at that women's Republican meeting. Yet. William Lieberman, the man who runs that untransparent page and called a woman a f****** b****, was allowed to stay. So, I find this post from earlier in the year very interesting
Is she running a Pac? Did she really choose that man to head it up?
Smh

Laura,

Let's start with the facts.

The incident you keep talking about did not occur inside the meeting. It happened outside the meeting after your group left the meeting. I apologized to Wendi that same evening after the interaction occurred. What often gets left out of the story is that Wendi approached me and put her phone directly in my face.

What also gets left out is who attended that meeting. From what I recall, those present included Jose Williams, Joe Maddock, Ben Bradley, Steve Earp, Derrick Good, Wendi Good, Scott Steinman, John Kennedy, and you.

Steve Earp has stated multiple times that he has the video of the incident inside the meeting. If that is true, then please post the entire unedited video so everyone can see exactly what happened and decide for themselves. Transparency should not be selective.

As I remember it, individuals who lived outside the 8th District were informed they could attend but would not be voting members because they did not reside within the district, but could be non-voting members

Now let's address some of the claims being made about METG.

There have been repeated allegations that METG is some sort of PAC or secretly funded political organization. That is simply not true. Ann Moloney made a personal donation of $100. Two other individuals also made donations. Beyond that, I have personally funded the majority of METG's operations myself.
** See donation site on our FB page, 3 people made donations**

METG uses a PO Box. So do thousands of businesses, nonprofits, campaigns, and organizations across the country. As does Thurman Law Firm, where Derrick is a partner. Do you question that one also, or who his phone service is through, or any other groups, or just METG? ** THIS IS A UPS store in Chesterfield, MO. **

METG uses a Vonage phone number that costs approximately $10.99 per month. It is paid for by me. There is nothing unusual or hidden about that. As you brought up earlier in another conversation
** The number is on the FB page and our website page **

As for transparency, if we're going to ask questions about one organization, then let's ask questions about everyone equally.

Public records show that in 2012, the Missouri Ethics Commission issued an order involving Steve Wyatt Earp and the Missouri Values Project concerning campaign finance reporting and committee account requirements. The order found probable cause that violations had occurred and imposed a monetary penalty subject to compliance requirements. These are public records available for anyone to review. Voters should read them and make up their own minds.
**The above can be found at MEC under Steve W Earp or Missouri Values Project**

Public records also show that Friends of Chris Howard reported a payment of $3,530.64 to Imperator for campaign printing services. Missouri Secretary of State records included in the same documentation reflect business entity filings associated with individuals involved in local politics. Again, these are public records and people can review them for themselves. It lists Steve Earp St Louis County address as pay to remittance and office address, and as of today St Louis County Doesn't show a business license for this company? Surprise own by Steve W Earp and Adam Schwadron is from St. Charles County,
**The above can be found at MEC, under Friends of Chris Howard FYI, this is nothing against Chris Howard just the facts on a payment made ** as far a company data MO SOS business search

I am not asking anyone to accept my conclusions. I am asking people to review the records, review the videos, review the facts, and decide for themselves.

What I find interesting is that some of the same people demanding transparency from others seem unwilling to apply that same standard to themselves.

As for Facebook groups and pages, some have blocked METG. Earp for Jeffco and Jefferson County Missouri Republican Some have blocked me. Some have blocked others. That's their choice. It doesn't change the facts.

At the end of the day, transparency should apply equally to everyone, regardless of what side they are on.

Post the videos. (Steve Earp states he has)

Post the documents. **Listed under the items**

Post the records. **listed under the items**

Let the public see everything and decide for themselves.

Transparency works both ways.

Windsor, Missouri Water Issues – Deep Dive

After reviewing state records, water quality reports, city statements, and resident complaints, the evidence suggests Windsor's primary water challenge is aging infrastructure, not a widespread contamination crisis.

1. Brown Water Complaints Are a Major Ongoing Issue

The City of Windsor publicly acknowledged repeated complaints about brown or discolored water. According to city statements:

"The water is clear. The brown water comes from our pipes. Some of our lines are over 100 years old and lined with sludge."

That statement is significant because it points directly to the distribution system rather than the water source itself.

Potential causes include:

Aging cast-iron water mains
Rust and sediment buildup
Pressure fluctuations
Fire hydrant use or flushing events
Water main repairs disturb deposits

The city has also acknowledged brown-water events following major water-use incidents, such as structure fires.

2. Windsor Received a Drinking Water Violation

Windsor's 2025 Consumer Confidence Report shows a violation under the federal Lead and Copper Rule Revisions.

The violation was listed as:

"Lead and Copper Rule Revisions Notification, Known or Potential Lead Service Line."

Important:

This does not mean Windsor exceeded lead limits.

Instead, it appears Windsor had a compliance issue related to:

Lead service line inventories
Required customer notifications
Federal reporting requirements

Missouri municipalities across the state have been struggling with these new EPA requirements.

However, a violation is still a violation and raises questions about compliance and communication.

3. Water Quality Testing Generally Meets Federal Standards

Available test data indicates Windsor's water generally meets federal drinking water standards.

The 2025 report shows:

Lead below action levels
Copper below action levels
Radium below limits
Gross Alpha below limits

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has not reported an MCL (Maximum Contaminant Level) violation for Windsor's drinking water.

4. Coliform Bacteria Detection

The 2025 report also noted:

One total coliform positive sample during November.

A single positive sample does not automatically indicate unsafe drinking water.

However, it suggests:

Distribution system monitoring detected bacteria indicators
Follow-up testing was required
The event should be reviewed to determine cause

Questions worth asking:

Was it an isolated event?
Was there a nearby water main break?
Were repeat samples clean?
5. Infrastructure Age May Be the Real Story

The city's own admission that some lines exceed 100 years old may be the most important finding.

Questions METG should investigate:

Distribution System
How many miles of water main are over 50 years old?
How many miles are over 75 years old?
How many are over 100 years old?
Break History
Number of water main breaks annually
Cost of repairs
Areas with recurring failures
Water Loss
Percentage of unaccounted-for water
Annual water loss reports submitted to DNR
6. Lead Service Line Inventory Questions

Because Windsor received a Lead and Copper Rule violation, several questions emerge:

How many lead service lines exist?
How many "unknown" service lines exist?
Has Windsor completed its inventory?
Were residents properly notified?
How much replacement work remains?

The EPA now requires extensive inventories and eventual replacement of lead service lines nationwide.

7. Resident Concerns Appear Broader Than Water Quality

Public discussion appears to involve more than testing results.

Recurring concerns include:

Brown water appearance
Communication from city officials
Frequency of notifications
Transparency regarding water issues
Confidence in long-term infrastructure planning

Even when testing meets standards, public trust can decline if residents repeatedly see brown water coming from taps.

Preliminary Findings
Evidence Supports

✅ Aging water infrastructure

✅ Brown water complaints

✅ Lead and Copper Rule compliance violation

✅ At least one coliform detection event

✅ Ongoing maintenance challenges

No Evidence Found Of

❌ Flint-style lead contamination

❌ Drinking water exceeding federal lead limits

❌ DNR determination that water is unsafe to drink

❌ Major contamination emergency

The Bigger Question

The issue may not be whether Windsor's water currently meets EPA standards. The larger issue may be:

How much longer can a water system with portions of its distribution network reportedly over 100 years old continue operating without major replacement investment?

That is likely where the most significant taxpayer and public-health risk exist going forward.
