🌟Youth Institute Spotlight: Rylie Fisher – Class of 2026 🌟

Meet Rylie Fisher, a thoughtful and motivated member of Leadership Geauga’s Youth Institute Class of 2026!

Rylie joined the program to become more connected with the people around her while exploring future career possibilities. She’s especially looking forward to gaining leadership skills and discovering a clearer vision for her future path.

In her free time, Rylie enjoys swimming, reading, and relaxing with her cat. Her favorite place in Geauga County is the Chardon Pool, where her passion for swimming first began, and many great memories were made.

Through the Youth Institute experience, Rylie hopes to continue learning more about herself, her community, and the opportunities ahead.

We’re so glad to have Rylie as part of the Class of 2026 and can’t wait to see where this journey takes her!

Earlier this month, Geauga Growth Partnership, Inc. invited us to serve as a panelist at the Nonprofit Forum: Preparing the Next Generation of Nonprofit Leaders. Meredith represented us well! Topics included creating leadership pipelines, developing and recruiting volunteers, workforce development, and more!

With over 70 people in attendance, we were pleased to see so many LG alums there! 💚❤

🌟 Youth Institute Spotlight: Ashley Skully – Class of 2026 🌟

Meet Ashley Skully, a compassionate and community-focused member of Leadership Geauga’s Youth Institute Class of 2026!

Ashley works as a counselor at West Geauga Rec Day Camp, where she enjoys helping younger campers have a fun and memorable summer. ☀️

She joined the Youth Institute to gain valuable leadership experience and take advantage of opportunities like the program’s mentorship day. Ashley is excited to continue growing her skills while learning from local leaders and mentors throughout the experience.

In her free time, Ashley stays involved with lacrosse, Interact Club volunteering, and one of her biggest passions - fostering dogs. Her caring personality and commitment to helping others shine through in everything she does.

One of Ashley’s favorite parts of Geauga County is getting to spend time with her friends’ animals, something that perfectly matches her love for animals and the community around her.

We’re thrilled to welcome Ashley to this year’s Youth Institute and look forward to seeing the positive impact she’ll make!

Join us on Friday, July 17, at St. Denis Golf Club for our third annual Best. Golf. Outing. Ever!

Single, Double, and Foursome registrations are available for $135 per golfer.
Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m.

Registration includes:
• Breakfast
• Lunch
• Dinner by That Hawaiian Guys BBQ
• Free booze on the course featuring Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Surf Sides
• Non-alcoholic beverages
• A swag/cooler bag for every golfer

Golfers will also have the chance to enjoy on-course games, basket raffles, contests, prizes, and more throughout the day.

Today, we’re celebrating an incredible milestone for our Executive Director, Meredith, as she marks 5 years with Leadership Geauga!

Over the past five years, Meredith’s leadership, vision, and dedication have helped Leadership Geauga grow in so many meaningful ways. From expanding programs and strengthening community partnerships to supporting participants, alumni, and volunteers, her impact can be felt throughout Geauga County.

We are so grateful for her leadership, encouragement, and the genuine connections she builds every day. Thank you, Meredith, for all you do for Leadership Geauga and our community. Congratulations on five amazing years! 💚

🌟 Youth Institute Spotlight: Bennett Miller – Class of 2026 🌟

Meet Bennett Miller, a driven member of Leadership Geauga’s Youth Institute Class of 2026!

Bennett works as a Pro Shop Attendant at Punderson Golf Course, gaining valuable experience in customer service and day-to-day operations. ⛳

Leadership Geauga is already a familiar part of his family; his dad participated in the Adult Program, and both his sister and brother participated in the Youth Institute. Inspired by their experiences, Bennett joined the Youth Institute to learn more about Geauga County and build strong connections with fellow students and community leaders.

Outside of work and school, Bennett stays active playing football, basketball, and baseball for Berkshire, along with golfing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He’s also involved with his church community.

His favorite part of Geauga County is the peaceful, scenic road he lives on in Burton, a place he truly enjoys coming home to.

We’re excited to watch Bennett grow as a leader and make the most of this experience in the year ahead!
