Passing along this information for anyone needing assistance. They are also looking for volunteers. We have worked with them in the past and they are very generous and eager to offer help wherever they can. 🎄

This year we have been informed Merry Meals will be unable to operate this year due to circumstances out of their control. We hope to fill that gap this year or partner with them to make it possible. They are the ones who ususally make it possible for Santa Delivers AYR to cover a Christmas/Holiday....

Merry Meals will not be distributing food this year. I’m very sorry to announce this. I am working too many hours to be able to give this cause the time it requires. It takes a lot of work to collect funds, organize food drives, etc, and it’s even more difficult to do on my own. I hope to be able to try again next year. I will keep you posted. I hope everyone is able to find an alternative and that you have a wonderful holiday season.

💚❤️💚❤️ so thankful for this organization going around delivering food. Merry Christmas.

Our plan was to have a certain amount of cold meals,a certain amount of hot meals. Ask which one each family needed between the two there would be plenty for all our applicants. Some families would have been able to get both that needed assistance with groceries while their kids were on break since we could not provide groceries. Families without resources or ability to cook would get a ready to eat meal.

So thankfully due to Merry Meals who gave us a few extra meals almost all our families get a cold meal.

We do not have enough to cover all however. This makes us so sad. We will be calling tomorrow around to see if we can obtain single meals for families who do not receive one.

I am so thankful for this group of kids and their parents for helping us out today. They braved the cold to be a part of the community. Not one kid ever complained and they had so much energy and enthusiasm. I’m so proud of you guys and so thankful. Great job!
