Next, we would like to nominate Eagles for Israel at Boston College and Boston College Eagle Political Society to take up this challenge and create their own set of goals within the next 72 hours.

On behalf of the Boston College Republicans, the Executive Board, and the Leadership Council, we would like to condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the despicable, hateful acts of racism that took place on our campus last night. We would also like to extend our gratitude to law enforcement for swiftly apprehending the culprit. The Executive Board and Leadership Council believe in the dignity and worth of all human beings regardless of: race, s*x, religion, national origin, disability status, age, military service, citizenship status, s*xual orientation, or political beliefs. That any group should be targeted for one of these characteristics is utterly abhorrent and antithetical to the principles on which our nation was founded. We hope that the perpetrator is punished to the fullest extent of the law for their abhorrent behavior that has no place at any instution, let alone a Jesuit, Catholic university. We call upon the administration to foster a culture of tolerance, civility and inclusion within our community.

On behalf of the Boston College Republicans, the E-Board would like to fully condemn the despicable, hateful acts of racism that took place on our campus this past weekend. Such behavior is completely reprehensible and has no place at a Jesuit, Catholic institution or anywhere. All of us, students, faculty, and administration alike, must stand together to combat prejudice and ensure that everyone, regardless of race, background, country of origin, s*xual orientation, or religion, has a place of comfort, safety, and security at our great school. We call on the administration to fully investigate such acts, hold the perpetrators accountable, and continuously help foster a community and culture of tolerance, respect, and inclusion.
