The West Deer Dog Shelter raised $4,016.00 this year at the West Deer Community Days Event. Even with the rain and mud, the event was a success. Thank you to ALL the residents and businesses that donated monetarily or gave raffle baskets. We really appreciate the support from our volunteers. We really couldn't do this without ALL OF YOU! Just a reminder that the Dog Shelter is still in need of baskets for the Community Days Event coming up in a few weeks. Thank you to those that have donated already. It's greatly appreciated :)

On August 7th & 8th, the Township of West Deer will be hosting their Community Days Event. During this event, our dedicated West Deer Dog Shelter volunteers will be promoting the dog shelter and generating revenue by managing a basket/gift card raffle. The money generated from the raffle offsets the expense of vet bills, food, cleaning supplies, and any other miscellaneous items to make our shelter a home for these forgotten animals.
Your generosity of donating a basket would be greatly appreciated by our volunteer staff and the dogs themselves. Donations can be dropped off or delivered to:

The regular meeting of the West Deer Township Board of Supervisors originally scheduled for July 15, 2026 at 7:00 PM has been rescheduled to Monday, July 20, 2026 at 7:00 PM. The Board will conduct its regular monthly business and will act on any other matters which may lawfully come before the Board.

On July 20, 2026 at 6:30 PM, prior to the rescheduled meeting, the Board will resume the public hearing on proposed Ordinance No. 464 regarding possible amendments to certain Planned Residential Development provisions of the Zoning Ordinance of West Deer Township.
