WSSC Contractor, M.T. Laney, to Perform Asphalt Resurfacing Work on the 6200 Block of Lombard Street

M.T. Laney will perform asphalt resurfacing work on the 6200 block of Lombard Street. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 1, 2026, and continue through Tuesday, June 2, 2026, weather permitting. Inclement weather or unforeseen conditions may extend the project schedule.

Please observe all posted signs in the area. M.T. Laney will have traffic control signs and flaggers in place, as needed, to help guide traffic safely around the work zone. No road closures are anticipated at this time.

The Town Hall parking lot will be closed to the public from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026, until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

This temporary closure is to accommodate the Community Market.

Town Contractor, VMP, Performing Milling and Overlay Work Around Town

The Town’s contractor, VMP, will perform asphalt milling and overlay work at the intersection of the 5700 block of Forest Road and the 2800 block of Crest Avenue. Work is scheduled to begin on Thursday, May 28, 2026, and continue through Wednesday, June 3, 2026, weather permitting.

Please move your vehicle(s) in advance, as access will be restricted during scheduled work hours. “No Parking” signs will be posted to indicate parking restrictions. Vehicles remaining on the street during this time may be subject to towing. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation.

If inclement weather or unforeseen conditions occur, the work schedule may extend beyond Wednesday, June 3, 2026. The Town will provide updates if additional schedule changes become necessary.

The Town’s contractor, VMP, will perform sidewalk work from Wednesday, May 20, 2026, through Friday, May 29, 2026, weather permitting. Please see the scheduled project locations listed below.

Please make the necessary arrangements in advance, as access may be restricted during scheduled work hours. Sidewalks will close temporarily while work is underway. “No Parking” signs will mark temporary parking restrictions in affected areas.

We regret any inconvenience this work may cause and appreciate your patience and cooperation.

The Town’s contractor, VMP, will perform concrete work, including curb, gutter, and sidewalk improvements, at the locations listed below. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 18, 2026, and continue through Friday, May 29, 2026, weather permitting. Please see the schedule below for more detailed information.

Project Locations
• 3100 block of Crest Avenue
• Intersection of the 5700 block of Forest Road and the 2800 block of Crest Avenue

Please make the necessary arrangements in advance to move your vehicle(s), as access will be restricted during scheduled work hours. Sidewalks will also be unavailable during sidewalk construction. “No Parking” signs will be posted to indicate parking restrictions. The intersection of 64th Avenue and State Street is temporarily closed due to damage to the non-emergency overhead wires. The Fire Department has responded, and communications companies are mobilizing to reinstall the wires.
