🎉 Happy Wyoming Statehood Day! 🎉

On July 10, 1890, Wyoming officially became the 44th state in the Union—and made history in the process.

Known as the "Equality State," Wyoming was the first U.S. state to enter the Union with women's voting rights protected in its constitution. Long before the 19th Amendment granted women the right to vote nationwide, Wyoming stood firm in its commitment to equality and representation.

More than 134 years later, we celebrate not only Wyoming's statehood but also its pioneering role in advancing democratic rights for women across America.

Join us in honoring the spirit of independence, courage, and equality that helped shape Wyoming's legacy.

Today, as our nation celebrates its historic Semiquincentennial, the Wyoming Council for Women honors the incredible legacy of the women who have built, shaped, and moved America forward for two and a half centuries.

From the trailblazers of 1776 to the leaders, innovators, and advocates of today, women have always been the backbone of progress. As we look back on 250 years of history, we also look forward to the future we are building together.

Wishing our entire community a safe, happy, and truly historic 4th of July! ✨❤️🤍💙
