Cowboy Guard,

I am saddened to inform you of the tragic passing of Specialist Quentin Romero of the 115th Field Artillery Rear Detachment. Specialist Romero was involved in a severe multi-vehicle accident in Green River, Wyoming, on Friday, February 14th, 2025. He was not in a duty status at the time of the incident.

Specialist Romero's contributions to the WY NG and his presence within our ranks will be deeply missed. We extend our deepest sympathies to his family during this difficult time.

We are in close contact with Specialist Romero's family to offer support and to coordinate the appropriate military honors that reflect his service and dedication.

Everyone is encouraged to attend the memorial service to honor Specialist Romero's memory and to show support for his family and fellow Soldiers. Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, starting at 11 a.m. in the Jeffrey Center, 315 W Pine St, Rawlins, Wyoming.

Today we bid farewell and good luck to our brothers and sisters of the 2-300th Field Artillery and the 920th Field Support Company as they depart to their next mission.This historic deployment marks the first time the 2-300th Field Artillery battalion has deployed as a whole while supporting a field artillery mission since the Korean War.

Please keep these soldiers in your thoughts an prayers as the Powder River Battalion transitions into the next chapter of their story.
