Laramie County Democrats Grassroots Coalition The Democratic Grassroots Coalition is an organization of Laramie County residents who promote the political activities of the Democratic Party.

The Grass Roots Coalition is an organization of politically active and interested residents of Laramie County who wish to promote the political activities of the Democratic Party. Membership is open to all interestd Democrats residing in Laramie County. Annual dues are $12, $6 for seniors (60+) and students.

Fellow Grassroots Members,
Thanks to all of you and your fellow Democrats, the Grassroots Coalition was able to meet its $15,000 goal for this election year! Since you all have been so supportive, we did not want to exceed your generosity by doing another formal Grassroots fund raiser this year.

Now there is a need for our physical support of our candidates. Please sign up and walk, phone bank, volunteer at the Democratic Office, stuff envelopes, whatever the candidates need at this time. If you want to volunteer, call Kathleen at 421-4496 and she will find where there is a need.

Again, thank you all for the wonderful support to make this such a great fundraising year.

Good news Dems! The Laramie County Democratic Party has secured a combined candidate field office for the Laramie County Democratic Party. We will be located at 2107 E. Lincolnway next to American Cleaners through Election Day! This is the old Sanders campaign office.

We are cleaning and organizing the office this week and are in need of volunteers, office furniture (desks) large plastic tables and chairs, and office supplies ASAP. You can simply loan them to the Party for 3 months but please write your name on all items.

We are also looking to staff the field office from 10 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday and 11 am to 6 pm on Sunday through Election Day! So if you can volunteer please let Shayna Lonowoa Alexander know as we will be running a sign up list and calendar of field activities for all Dem candidates. Contact Shayna at [email protected] or (808) 232-9161 for scheduling.

Lastly, any candidates who would like, please feel free to drop campaign materials, yard signs etc. by the office to be picked up as desired.

We had such a great turnout today at the Laramie County Democratic Super Day Booth! Thank you everyone who helped man the booth. I won't try to name everyone because I'll for sure forget someone. There were lots of candidates present and lots of energy with people stopping by, showing their support for the Dems!! It's going to be a great election year.

Laramie County Democratic Party Announces 2016 County Convention

Cheyenne, WY – The Laramie County Democratic Party announced today that it will hold its 2016 County Convention on Saturday, April 9, 2016. The Caucus and Presidential Preference Vote will be held at the Cheyenne Central High School Field House Gymnasium, 5500 Education Drive. Check-in for the Caucus begins at 9:00 AM and closes at 11:00 AM. Everyone in line at 11:00 AM will be admitted to Caucus. Advance/Express Caucus check-in is available online at www.wyodems.org.

All members of the public are welcome to attend the Convention; however, ONLY DEMOCRATS REGISTERED TO VOTE ON OR BEFORE MARCH 25TH MAY VOTE FOR PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES. To register as a Democrat or update your voter registration, visit the Laramie County Clerk’s Elections office, 309 W. 20th Street.

Immediately following the morning’s Caucus and Presidential Preference Vote, Convention activities will resume at the Plains Hotel, 1600 Central Avenue. There will be an optional $15 luncheon with a keynote speaker, election of pledged delegates to represent Laramie County at the Wyoming Democratic Party State Convention in Cheyenne on May 28, 2016, adoption of the County Platform, and other business.
At the State Convention in May, delegates will adopt a state platform and elect delegates to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, PA July 25-28, 2016. Individuals interested in being delegates to the National Convention must file a statement of candidacy form by April 28, 2016. That form is available online at www.wyodems.org.

We had a great turn out for the "Get Your Green On" including Ryan Greene who is running for the US House. Thanks to everyone who came out. We raised about $1500 for all our cool Democratic candidates who will be running this fall. Thanks to the Grassroots team. Ken Trowbridge, Joe Corrigan, Cherry Kildow, Mike and Chris Shay. You're hard working efforts are paying off.
