A CASA advocate helps make sure the child’s voice, needs, and best interests do not get lost.

That can mean asking questions. Gathering information. Showing up in court. Staying consistent when everything else feels uncertain.

It is serious work.

You do not need a legal background or prior experience with the justice system. You just need compassion, consistency, and the willingness to show up.

We’re feeling the love, Laramie County!

CASA of Laramie County has been nominated for Cap City’s Best: Readers’ Choice 2026 in the Nonprofit category under Arts, Entertainment & Leisure, and we couldn’t be more honored! 💙

But that’s not all… our signature event, CASA Casino Night, has also been nominated in the Community Event category!

What does a CASA volunteer do?

CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to represent the best interests of a child in foster care, often becoming the one consistent, trusted adult in their life.

This June, we honor Reunification Month and the families who are working hard to safely come back together.

CASA volunteers play an important role by showing up consistently for children, listening to their needs, and sharing their voices with the court. Their advocacy helps ensure children and families have the support they need on the path toward safety, stability, and permanency.

Reunification is more than a case outcome. It is a journey.
