Here is an updated graphic showing our thinking on thunderstorm timing. A first round of activity along the I-25 corridor is forecast this afternoon between 2 to 6 PM, with a second round beginning during the mid-afternoon in our western zones and moving eastward through the evening and nighttime hours. Storms will be capable of all hazards with a notable large hail risk!

Have you had a chance to review the draft Laramie County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)?

We want to hear from you! Join us at one of our upcoming public meetings to learn more about the plan, ask questions, and provide feedback that will help shape wildfire preparedness and mitigation efforts across Laramie County.

Here is the updated severe weather outlook for Monday, June 8th. All modes of severe weather will be possible this afternoon with large hail and strong winds the most likely hazards. An isolated tornado or two is possible, as well as flash flooding. Best timing to see the strongest storms will be between 3 PM and 10 PM.

Strong to possibly severe thunderstorms are expected today, Sunday June 7th. While ingredients for stronger activity will be north of our region, a few late afternoon and evening storms are expected, with gusty winds and hail possible.

Today should be our last round of severe weather potential for the next several days. Look for afternoon and evening thunderstorms once again, with a notable threat for large hail, but strong winds and an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out as well.

There is a marginal risk of severe weather today, and and overall reduced threat as compared to the last several days. Storms are possible this afternoon and into the early evening, with hail and gusty winds the primary hazards.

The CWPP is an important planning document that helps identify wildfire risks, prioritize mitigation projects, improve preparedness, and strengthen our community's ability to prevent and respond to wildfires. Your input helps ensure the plan reflects local knowledge, concerns, and priorities.

We invite you to take a few minutes to review the draft plan and share any comments, suggestions, or recommendations you may have. Whether you live in a wildfire-prone area, own property, represent an organization, or simply have an interest in community safety, your feedback is valuable.
