Laramie County Sheriff's Cavalry

Laramie County Sheriff's Cavalry Welcome to the Laramie County Sheriff's Cavalry page. Please feel free to comment, post, and connect with the Cavalry Unit and its friends.

In the year 1867, a time of westward expansion and constant danger, a collaboration was forged in Wyoming between the United States Cavalry and the citizens of the Wild West. The United States Cavalry came to the area to provide protection and a law enforcement presence. This collaboration continues today. In honor of this historic collaboration we present “The Cheyenne Police Cavalry Honor Guard”

made up of police officers from the Cheyenne Police Department and military members from F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

THE MOUNTED UNIT IS BACK! It had been disbanded for a few years, but Sheriff Kozak reinstated the team. They are downtown today and the remainder of the week to answer questions and help folks discover the many events while helping CPD with calls in the area.
