Hey HD 12 neighbors, it is with a great deal of sadness, but also joy, that I announce that my family and I have left Wi******er Hills and HD 12.

My wife and I were fortunate enough to be able to buy a new home recently, and the one that we fell in love with is in the Whitney Ranch neighborhood. We are excited to own our first home as a family, but this will be the first time in my 20 plus years living in Cheyenne that I will not live in South Cheyenne.

My hope was to continue advocating for HD 12 and South Cheyenne in some capacity in the future, and that will not change because of this move. I will always be from South Cheyenne and I will continue to fight for it in my current professional capacity and any other roles I may take on down the line.

Thank you so much for your support the past two years, and please keep an eye on this page for future updates!

"The state has a large Baby Boom population, those aged 60–78 in 2024, but a small Generation X population, those aged 44–59 in the same year. The demographic gap has caused a labor shortage, as there are not enough workers to take over jobs left by retiring Baby Boomers, according to Liu."

CASPER, Wyo. — Wyoming is changing demographically, becoming one of the oldest states in the nation while also seeing a rise in its minority populations,

Too little attention is being paid to this issue. Wyoming must take real steps towards addressing it, whether that is what the Business Council proposes here or others, and that requires that our legislature address Wyoming's reality and not DC's agenda that does nothing to help us here.

The state agency proposes "major" reforms to a business loan program, and a broader discussion on Wyoming's economic future.

This issue was top of mind for me during our campaign last year. I hear it from many people I talk to, yet there seems to be absolutely no urgency at the state or legislative levels to address it.

We need to start taking this seriously. Now.

The outlook might be gloomy but ignoring Wyoming's economic challenges will only compound future problems, columnist Khale Lenhart opines.

We must not give up or back down from the fight. Apathy is the enemy of progress and Wyoming deserves better. Much much better.

Seeds of opposition to the far-right faction are sprouting across Wyoming by ordinary folks in seemingly unlikely places, guest columnist John Freeman observes.

In a very difficult decision, I decided to write a letter to our local media outlets highlighting a serious issue that some of our constituents brought to my attention.

The minimum that an elected representative can do for the people of their district and state is show up. Unfortunately, ours, Rep. Styvar, has chosen not to do that.

Dear editor: I ran in the GOP primary against Rep. Styvar to represent House District 12. It’s easy to say that, had I won, I would have committed to the…

During our campaign, this was one of the most prevalent topics residents of District 12 raised as we went door to door. Affordable housing is a very real issue in Wyoming and the lack of available housing is the primary driver of this problem.

Elected officials have the ability to address this head on, if they choose to. The linked report suggests multiple ways that our state and local leaders can spur the production of new, and more affordable, housing in Wyoming.

Please check out the report and speak to your local leaders. This is an issue that affects all of us - whether you are a current or prospective homeowner.

CHEYENNE — Last February, the Wyoming Community Development Authority published its statewide housing needs assessment for the state of Wyoming. This report showed Wyoming’s housing development was not on track

Well, it wasn't the result we hoped for but I am proud of the campaign we ran and the message we spread. Unfortunately, we have an issue with voter apathy in our state right now. It is understandable why, given the nature of politics at the moment. It is ugly, divisive, and is not addressing the real issues we face.

My hope is that we will not wait until the situation becomes dire to begin to address it. We need more good people that are willing to step up and put themselves and their reputations on the line to help those that cannot.

Thank you to all that supported, donated to, and believed in our campaign. I cannot thank you enough. I hope we made you proud.
