A Wyoming Department of Transportation asphalt paving crew is scheduled to begin hot-mix patching on June 1 in Fremont County.
All work depends on favorable weather conditions.

More than 2,800 tons of hot-mix patching asphalt is planned in Fremont County.

The WYDOT hot-mix asphalt patching work is scheduled for U.S. Highway 20 on Monday, June 1, beginning near the Fremont County line in Wind River Canyon (mileposts 122.89-123.06); June 2 just east of Shoshoni on U.S. 20/26 (mileposts 99.42-99.67); June 3 starting at the south end of Riverton on Wyoming 789 (mileposts 98.8-99.1); and June 4, on Wyoming 28 south of Lander beginning near Rawlins Junction (mileposts 63.40-63.57 and mileposts 67.33-67.45).

Hot-mix asphalt patching is scheduled for Monday, June 8, northwest of Dubois on U.S. 26/287 near the Teton-Fremont county line on Togwotee Pass (mileposts 28.08-28.17); June 9 on Togwotee Pass (mileposts 29.41-29.55); June 10 on Togwotee Pass (mileposts 32.37-32.51); and June 11 and June 15 on Togwotee Pass (mileposts 32.77-32.97).

Fremont County hot-mix patching is scheduled for completion on Tuesday, June 17, at the WYDOT maintenance complex on Togwotee Pass (milepost 32.52), off the highway.

The WYDOT paving operation consists of a paving crew, a roller operator and numerous trucks hauling the hot asphalt pavement to the work locations.

"Please obey the posted speed limits during the hot-mix patching operation, and follow flaggers and traffic control for safety's sake. Motorists should expect short delays," said Zachary Olson, WYDOT District 5 South Paving Foreman in Riverton.

Today is National Senior Health and Wellness Day. Did you know that drivers aged 70+ have higher vehicle crash death rates than middle-aged drivers? This is primarily due to increased vulnerability to injury in a crash. Encourage the older folks in your life to buckle up — every trip, every time — as this is one of the most effective ways to save lives and reduce injuries in crashes!
