We are so proud to recognize two outstanding Roger Mills County 4-H members who are competing this week at the 4-H National Archery Competition in Grand Island, Nebraska!

👏 Shane Leitch will be competing in the Recurve division
👏 Jocee Askew will be competing in the Compound division

These young archers have put in countless hours of practice, dedication, and hard work to earn the opportunity to represent our county on the national stage. We couldn’t be more excited to see them showcase their skills and sportsmanship!

New World screwworm has been confirmed in Texas, making awareness and early detection more important than ever for livestock owners, veterinarians and animal health professionals.

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry is monitoring the situation and has information available for Oklahoma producers.

Prussic Acid is expected to be bad this year. Make sure to test your fields before turning your cattle out on them. If you need test strips, please come by the office or call (580) 497-3339 if you have questions.

Food, Fun, 4‑H is a free, at‑home cooking program designed to bring families together while building confidence in the kitchen. Each month, 4-H’ers receive themed recipes, fun facts and family activities. Whether you’re just getting started or already a seasoned home cook, you can build skills and explore new foods. 🧑‍🍳

🌱 Roger Mills County Makes a Big Impact! 🌱

We’re proud to share the success of our recent Pesticide Disposal Event, hosted in partnership with ODAFF and OSU Pesticide Safety Education Program!

Thanks to the participation of local producers and community members, we safely collected an incredible 35,699 pounds of unwanted pesticides.

This effort helps keep our farms, families, and environment safe by ensuring these materials are disposed of properly. It’s a great example of what we can accomplish when we work together for the good of our community!

A big thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event a success. We couldn’t have done it without you!
