On March 15 we had to say goodbye to our little warrior, K9 Mika, who passed away at the age of 11. K9 Mika joined the Sheriff’s Office at 16 weeks old and was the first puppy trained in our Canine Unit. She may have been small, but she had a big impact public safety. During her career, she helped to recover fi****ms used in homicides and other crimes and recovered millions of dollars’ worth of narcotics. To Mika’s partner, Deputy Goulos, we share your grief on the loss of your partner.
