Hello members and supporters,

It's been a while since we have met in person to discussed real issues affecting our profession and community. To begin, we would like to thank everyone that has stood by our side during these difficult times, but as many of you may already know, every time we start to get back to normal this pandemic re-emerges and causes a disruption in our normal activities and life.

During this extremely difficult period, the PRPA was able to finish and open our new Puerto Rican Police Association office at 4321 W. Armitage Ave. It will allow us to have meetings, conduct business and have smaller social events that will enable us to bring our members and supporters together.

So in kicking off 2022 we are conducting our first in-house meeting of the year on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 6:30 PM. It will model an open house that will include a meeting to get us going in 2022. We will discuss partnerships, grant opportunities and future joint events to bring our Police Officers, First Responders and Veterans together moving forward.

This office and location will enable us to positively change and expand our reach in the communities we serve and protect. The last couple of years have been difficult enough to say the least. To change the public’s perception towards the police and help us build coalitions with the community and our fellow law enforcement organizations organizations that share our vision in safety and real partnership, we need to be more active moving forward.

This is just the first step in our recovery and with your help we are going to come back stronger than ever in 2022. That's why members like yourself are extremely vital to the vision and mission of the Puerto Rican Police Association. The stronger we are as an organization, the more our organization can make a difference as we move forward.

Stay safe and healthy,

Puerto Rican Police Association

This beautiful little girl will not grow up to play with her family and friends or become someone special, she was taken from us, another soul lost to senseless violence by worthless criminals! This community and many like it have live under attack by gangs and violence for (6) decades, but they are not the issue. Communities know who they are, they continue to make excuses for them, hide or ignore their criminal activity and give us a laundry list of excuses for their criminal behavior.

GANGS are a criminal enterprise with no respect for life, they aren’t your Familia or Friends, they are urban terrorist that hold communities hostage through violence and crime! To those people, including their family and friends, politicians and the misinformed community activists who continue to honor, protect and glorify them with morals, shame on you and it’s time to hold you accountable for her death and many children like her.

May God grant him eternal rest. Officers are being killed in the line of duty nationwide and we need to remember evil cannot prevail over good.. 💙🖤💙🖤🇺🇸🇵🇷

More than 50 attorneys sign letter to Lightfoot urging her to abandon new ordinance targeting gang members

They were 800 Homicides and about 4500 shootings in the city last year. Numerous children, youth and seniors were taken from us through gang violence that some communities have been imbedded with (6)decades of gang violence and these attorneys are worried about the gangs. How about using their influence and resources to teach career development and financial awareness to create generational wealth to help communities put an end to the influence gangs and crime have on our youth…

A group of attorneys with the Civil Rights Bar signed a letter to Mayor Lori Lightfoot Wednesday asking her to withdraw an ordinance introduced in September which aims to allow the fining of gang members.

Look at what criminals and gangs do to communities. These are not disadvantaged people, they are criminals, please look at the age of victims, one was a toddler, the other a young teenager. We congratulate and thank the officers of the 25th District who immediately apprehended and placed this offender in custody.

Also, I understand that the fact we are a male only club will not be a popular stance with everyone. This is not done to disrespect female officers or to belittle or slight them. It is what it is and again please respect that.

We are looking at expanding. Send me an email with your email address, dept, status/position phone #. I am putting togeather a list of interest to submit to the National President.
