Welcome to Week Six of the Access Countdown campaign! Each week, we are sharing information related to accessibility at softball and baseball games. This week, we are sharing resources focused on making concessions more accessible.

As baseball and softball season approaches, fans are getting excited about going to the stadium and getting their popcorn, hot dogs, and cold beverages to watch their favorite team play. Because of the ADA, fans with disabilities have access to all concessions, including food service areas, restaurants, and souvenir stands.

June is PTSD Awareness Month. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), there is no definitive list of medical conditions that constitute disabilities. Instead, the ADA defines a person with a disability as someone who has a physical or mental condition, such as PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), that substantially limits one or more major life activities, such as working, walking, learning, or concentrating.

We curated some resources for you to learn more about PTSD and resources that support people with PTSD, including in the workplace: Linktr.ee/PTSDAM.
