Every year the Save Abandoned Babies Foundation hosts a picnic for all the families in Illinois who have adopted a baby through the Safe Haven Law. One of the founders and current board member, Dawn, loves each and every one of these babies and has watched them grow up. Riley and her family have been true supporters not only to the foundation but the law itself. She is a great reminder of how loving your baby enough to give it a new life can be great. We are excited to announce the winners of the 2024 Morgan Jayne Hill Scholarship Awards. Three students won for their amazing artwork.

This year we gave students the option to create artwork with the prompt:
Create a piece of artwork that is aimed at promoting awareness of the Safe Haven Law.

We had three winners and our final winner is Aliya Mesich from Plainfield North High School. Aliya was awarded $1000 will be attending Loyola University Chicago. Congratulations!

A newborn baby boy was safely surrendered in Corpus Christi, Texas on July 18th. The baby’s family utilized the “Baby Moses” safe haven law of Texas, which allows a safe haven surrender of an infant up to 60 days old. We are thankful that the baby boy was safe and healthy at the time of surrender!!!
