We invite neighbors concerned about ongoing public safety and quality-of-life issues on Hollywood between Clark and Ridge to join us at the Beat 2013 meeting tonight.

Community participation and consistent reporting help CPD understand recurring concerns and establish neighborhood priorities. Our office is advocating for more frequent CPD patrols on Clark and additional DFSS outreach to connect individuals with housing assessments, shelter support, and other services. URGENT: We still need approximately 50 signatures to renew Special Service Area 26 in Edgewater and continue SSA programs and services in our business districts for the next 15 years.

If you own a commercial property or residential condos in the attached map WE NEED YOU NOW. This is incredibly important. Deadlines are just a couple weeks away and we are in danger of losing SSA funding for sidewalk cleaning, streetscaping, landscaping, holiday decor, sidewalk snow removal, safety initiatives, neighborhood branding, and more.

Still haven't signed? We'll be hosting one more Open House on WED 8/12 at Beard & Belly from 3pm-7pm for you to stop by and sign your forms in person. No appointment necessary, just drop in.

🏁On your mark! get set! race!

The rain didn’t keep us away! We tabled last weekend during a very wet Dim Sum & Them Sum 5K race. A big shout out to the Chinese Mutual Aid Association and all of the sponsors who make this incredible event possible. Looking forward to next year!

Thanks to this class from Knox College for stopping by the 48th Ward office during their tour of the neighborhood last week! These students spend part of their summer living in Chicago where they learn about the city, get familiarized with public transit, and intern with city companies and agencies. We were so glad to be a stop on their trip and learn about what they're studying.

⭐Divvy Station Installation Update⭐

Due to ridership demand and as part of my office’s priority to increase access and connectivity throughout our neighborhoods and commercial corridors, we’re working with the Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT) to install 12 new Divvy stations throughout the 48th Ward! Thank you to the many 48th Ward neighbors who have engaged with our office on this topic.

The following stations have been installed:
