It is with great sadness that I post this. Jerry Zeppeda passed away last night. He was a good Mountie that always had a good attitude and loved being I a Mountie. He will truly be missed. (
( Let’s ride ). One of many Jerry’s saying. Good bye my friend may you be at rest and join the Mounted Unit that they are forming in heaven.
It is with great sadness that I report that Joe Morici one of the original Mounties and Head trainers just passed away. He was one of the best!!! May god rest his soul and bless all his memories that he has given us..
Brothers and sisters in the saddle on the Border. Thanks to all of those in the mounted patrol, on the border and in the cities.
How is the poor horse from the Dan Ryan Expressway incident doing?
I ask that the police consider adding animal cruelty to the list of charges against Adam Hollingsworth/Dreadhead Cowboy. He has 4 other horses that are kept in Crete, IL, and he has stated that he will continue to do this. Not only should be charged with animal cruelty but ALL of his animals should be confiscated! It doesn't take a genius to realize the damage that this stunt would do to his animal. BTW, he has a Go Fund Me page where over $83,000 has been donated for the care of his horses. At a minimum, he should have to reimburse the city for the expense and the cost of rehabbing his injured horse.
A great big thank you to Officer Burke (?) for sharing your knowledge of the program with us! It made our day!
Great story of Fahey, retired from the unit.
