The Friends of Rickover Naval Academy

The Friends of Rickover Naval Academy Friends of Rickover Naval Academy is a non-profit, voluntary organization that supports the mission of the Hyman G. Rickover Naval Academy.

RNA, a Chicago public high school, infuses a rigorous college preparatory curriculum with a military structure to prepare an ethnically and racially diverse student body for college and life beyond. More than 90% of Rickover students go on to college after graduating. The funds we raise are used for enrichment programs and to enable students, more than 80% of whom are low-income, to participate in

academic summer camps, college exploratory trips, art programs, science clubs and extra-curricular activities. Funds raised have been used to purchase
- computers,
- e-books,
- supplies,
- tools for the Robotics Team,
- team uniforms and
- other sports equipment. More than 75 students have received financial support for activities ranging from college tours and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) camps to specialized training and international field trips. Our goal is to ensure that Rickover students have every opportunity possible to learn, explore and find their dreams. Friends of Rickover Naval Academy is a 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to Friends are tax deductible.

DONATION DROPOFF--THIS SATURDAY: April 11th 9:00-12:00pm at Rickover Naval Academy HS (5700 W. Berteau) in the parking lot behind the school!

Additional Donation Drop-Off Dates:
April 18th, and 25th
May 2nd and 9th

We’re now accepting donations—your spring cleaning treasures can make a difference! We gladly accept jewelry, art, clothing, small appliances, sporting goods, toys, books, electronics, pet items, gardening, knick-knacks, kitchenware, household goods, arts and crafts, office, etc

June 12th, 13th, and 14th from 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
