Director of Older Adult Programs at NWC and Site Director of Kelvyn Park Senior Center Linda Peters began this program to educate residents on racial equity and facilitate a sense of community within the increasingly multiracial center.

Photos from our 2nd session of Race Matters series at KP! The theme was “Getting to Know You” where groups were divided into pairs and interviewed each other about their life stories, then shared what they learned. We had 21 wonderful folks show up, even our mascot, April the chihuahua. 😊 This series will be a permanent part of KP’s programs as we build a community where everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, and language, is welcomed and respected.

The final session for this month will be on May 25 from 1-2 pm.
