Oman Center

Oman Center The Oman Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that serves those in need in our community. The weight of those experiences stayed with her. Kamerling Ave.

The Oman Center was started by Linette Robles in 2010, when she and her family began serving bagged lunches from the trunk of her car. What began as a simple act of kindness grew into a calling, and on February 3, 2015, The Oman Center officially became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Linette was never homeless, but she grew up in a home marked by struggle, uncertainty, and sacrifice. Raised by a single pa

rent, she experienced what it felt like to not know where the next meal would come from, to celebrate holidays with very little, and to watch a parent do everything possible to put food on the table. They shaped her compassion. They shaped her mission. The name Oman carries profound meaning. Through their church, Linette’s family met Mr. Steve Oman, a man who stepped into their lives exactly when they needed hope the most. He “adopted” their family, not legally, but with love and generosity. Because of him, they had birthday cakes that made them feel special, Christmas gifts when there was no money for presents, groceries and meals when the fridge was empty, and support, encouragement, and dignity during their hardest moments. He was the angel that lifted their burden. And from his kindness grew Linette’s deep desire to give back. The Oman Center was born from that promise: to be for others what he was for her family. Today, The Oman Center is devoted to making a difference in the lives of Chicago’s homeless-one sack lunch at a time. We understand struggle intimately. We understand how a simple act of kindness can change someone’s entire day-or their entire outlook on life. Our volunteers distribute sack lunches, gloves, scarves, hygiene items, and other essentials to the homeless and hungry. We believe in doing more with more - more donations, more volunteers, more compassion. It only takes one person to create change. Be that difference in someone’s life today. Our vision goes beyond providing food. We aim to restore hope, uplift lives, and connect individuals with the resources they need to move toward self-sufficiency. The Oman Center operates 100% through donations. If you would like to support our mission, please do so through our website. (Link in BIO) or,

After more than 8 years of providing professional pet care through 𝕂𝟡 𝕊𝕨𝕖𝕖𝕥𝕤 𝕒𝕟𝕕 ℙ𝕖𝕥 ℂ𝕒𝕣𝕖, 𝕃𝕃ℂ, we are officially closing one chapter and opening an exciting new one!

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our boutique doggy daycare in the Bucktown neighborhood, specializing exclusively in small-breed pups 25 lbs and under. This new space was created with the comfort, safety, and happiness of little dogs in mind, and we can’t wait to welcome your furry family members.

What makes this journey even more special is that our new location will also serve as a pet supply donation site to support pets and their owners experiencing homelessness. For years, giving back to our community has been close to our hearts, and now we have the opportunity to serve both ends of the leash.

Thank you to everyone who has supported K9 Sweets and Pet Care throughout the years. Your trust, loyalty, and encouragement have made this next step possible. We are excited for what’s ahead and look forward to continuing to care for the pets we love while making an even greater impact in our community.

Stay tuned for opening updates, sneak peeks, and enrollment information!

Our hearts are so full as we officially become a donation collection site for both the Omen Center, NFP and K9 Sweets and Pet Care.

We’re collecting pet food, pet supplies, and gift cards to help support unhoused neighbors, their pets, and pet parents in our community.

Every Wednesday from 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM, we will be distributing pet supplies, coffee, and $5 gift cards. Distribution start date is still to be determined, and updates will be shared soon.

Please share and help us spread the word so we can help even more people and their beloved pets. ❤️
