Busy morning at the Art session ! And Steven Ferrel is back !!!
Glenn Madder - Today Glenn as usual drew a house with a plane a car and a set of swings but his second drawing is a βfantasyβ as he calls it a TV at the beach :))))
From βThe Book of Earlβ for the colored series
On loose paper for the graphite pencil pieces.
Earl draws mostly from memory and what an impressive memory !!!
2011
The Bridges Series - Mark is fascinated by bridges and surely bridges are fascinating.
He gets his inspiration from a book that focuses solely on bridges.
Tim chose a different subject with that portrait : Ismail The first Rohingya refugee to reach Chicago. His pastel treatment is also a bit different on that one, the hair particularly, less dense. Usually his subjects are celebrities in the entertainment or sport field often African American and Spanish Β« famous people Β»
Glenn Mader - Glenn works only with color pencils and the recurrent themes of his work are houses, automobiles, planes, trains, sailboats, swings and a strong sense of motions.
Michael MacLemore - Michael usually draws abstractions so here it is a pleasant surprise to see flowers a house and one stick figure upside down (up left of the page) So lovely β€οΈ

Michael McLemore art work is mostly colorful abstractions, built up of shapes that are like puzzle pieces, his process tedious but looked effortless. He will create for hours on. His medium of choice obviously color pencils. β¨β¨β¨β¨π«
Mark Suntres - Mark is on fire this morning ! A magnificent work inspired by the Kingβs College Chapel , England. Mark is brilliant in the use of oil pastels and one can always enjoy his skills with colors, his attention to details and his talent all together. Bravo Mark πππππ
Michael Mc Lemore. Michael rarely draws figures but today for some reason he did and totally surprised me with that one stroke running around and defining the subject. Also I found some big size color pencils in my supplies so I gave Michael a big sketch book and the big color pencils. It brought a different scale to his work and a richness to the colors. The red pattern on the face is a mask Michael confirmed β¨β¨β¨β¨π
Mark Suntres - Mark started a new piece this morning and took great care of the 1st steps, the laying and drawing of the buildings. He will now start the oil pastels, a step he always excels at, texture and choices of colors very smart and beautiful π€© π€©π€©π€©π€©π€©πβοΈ
William Arnold is fairly new in the Art program. He is very very quiet. His gentle abstract drawings are mainly concentric strokes and use of a lot of colors ππ€©π πππ§‘π§‘β€οΈπ
Mark Suntres is creating a piece that is already looking so awesome. Mark uses tracing paper and follows the tracing process pretty well. Here the project is to use the result of the traced subject twice so it will be like a mirroring effect More to come .... exciting He also adds some details with stencil work such a bright initiativeβ¨
