On #InternationalDayoftheGirl, we bring to you the inspiring story of Major General Angela Salinas, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired). She was the first woman to command a Marine Corps Recruit Depot, and the first Hispanic woman to become a general in the Marines. The youngest of five children to Mexican immigrants, Salinas was the first in her family to graduate from college. In 2013, Salinas retired after 39 years of military service as the highest ranking female in the Marines, at the time of her retirement. Her story reminds us that you have the power to do anything you set your mind to. #NVMM #HispanicHeritageMonth #DayoftheGirl
