CSU MSW family, it is with great sadness that we share the passing of our very own Dr. Mikal Rasheed. Dr. Rasheed was a son, brother, father, husband, teacher, mentor, author, African drummer, and one of the most kind hearted people to walk this earth. Those of us that had the pleasure of having Dr. Rasheed as a professor were taught not just lessons of social work, but of life. He made us challenge our own views and address our biases and challenged us to be better than we thought we could ever be. He was always a phone call away and was always there to provide guidance and support. His lessons are reflected in the work that we as his students now do as social workers ourselves and we honor him each day in this work that we do. Let us hold tight to all of the memories made and shared. Let us never forget his smile, his laugh, and the coolness of his walk. Let us continue to keep his memory alive in the work that we do and the bonds we have created. His legacy is reflected in this CSU MSW family that he helped to create. Please continue to lift his wife, children, grandchildren, and family up in prayer during this time.

Ase Dr. Rasheed…job well done.

“I want to say to all of you – feel all of it,” the governor said at his daily news conference about the coronavirus outbreak. “We are living in a deeply unprecedented moment, and holding the emotional ramifications of that inside will only be harder on you. It’s OK to feel, and please know you don’t have to feel it all alone. I want you to know that we’re here to help.”

Association House High School is proud to celebrate a Level-1+ rating, citing the school as "good standing." Level-1+ is the most desired ranking in the Chicago Public Schools system. The rating system utilized to determine the rating is a combination of test scores, academic growth, graduation rates, attendance and a survey on the school climate that is given to teachers and parents each year.

We are currently open for enrollment for the second semester. Fill out our form here or pass the below flyer to someone that you may know in need of a new school home: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdd1Xh97wyit7fjCvn4DVQ2NzJ8k_xL9dTym5U2CxsDz6SV1w/viewform
