Alderman Sawyer Cutting the Ribbon at the New Whitney Young Library
After a decade of fighting, Alderman Sawyer cut the ribbon on the new Whitney Young Library. This will be the first local branch to include a "Maker's Lab," including a music recording studio, 3D printers, and sewing machines. Going forward 6th Ward youth will go to the library not only to research the wisdom of the past but to also leverage tools to build our future.

Today Alderman Sawyer spoke at a press conference about some long time problem buildings being removed from our neighborhood. It is only one step and we need to keep our communities engaged so that we can bring investment back after these problem building have been removed.
