Director Rehwinkel is the head regulator for the State of Illinois' Division of Banking overseeing state chartered commercial banks, savings banks, trust companies, foreign bank offices, residential lenders and pawnbrokers. Since his appointment to the Division, the Division of Banking has focused on major reforms to improve equity in banking and consumer protection, including working on wide ranging guidance and policy relief to help vulnerable Illinoisans during the COVID-19 Global Pandemic. In 2021, the Illinois Division of Banking worked hard to support the Illinois Community Reinvestment Act(CRA). We are thankful for the work he has accomplished at IDFPR!
Congratulations, Director Rehwinkel!
