On August 28th, our Executive Director at Hanul Family Alliance, Irene-Sohn joined fellow ACT leaders Ji-Young Cho from KCSC, Myoungmi Kim from KSC, and Hye-won Shin from Somang Society for an in-person Aging Care Together (ACT) Coalition meeting at the Korean Community Service Center in the Greater Washington area.
ACT brings together four Korean American nonprofits from across the country to share knowledge, build connections, and explore collaboration opportunities. Their mission is to strengthen support for Korean American older adults and caregivers by fostering collaboration among community-based organizations, developing culturally grounded caregiving support, and improving access to resources that fit the needs of Korean American families.
With over two years of building partnerships across organizations and regions, ACT continues to work towards creating a community where Korean American older adults and caregivers feel supported, respected, and connected. 🩵❤️💙
