Check out one of the events we helped fund:
“What is the work we make for ourselves and for each other? Artists Ato Ribeiro (@ilaama99) & Conrad Egyir (@conrad_egyir) have been in a conversation with each other since meeting as students at Cranbrook Academy of Art’s MFA program. Their practice is in dialogue through their ancestral visual traditions and interdisciplinary art making methods. Over the summer they presented a two-person exhibition ‘Every Time I Try To Get a Peace of Mind’ (@anastasiatinariprojects) in Chicago with new works rooted in new possibility and mediation on the creative process. Join us via Zoom on Friday October 29 from 6:00-7:00 pm CST as Ato Ribeiro and Conrad Egyir speak about their practice.

👋 Meet Gracie! 👋 (@graciehagen)
"My favorite time of day depends on the season. In winter, where we are all unfortunately headed, my favorite time of day is anytime when there’s GD sunlight! My favorite animal currently is a skunk, they have tiny little hands and a cute little face and everything about them is adorable! But it would be remiss of me to not mention my baby son, Captain Pancakes. He clearly is my favorite animal (@captainpancakesthecat). The best piece of advice I've been given was to, ‘Live aligned with your values.’”

"My favorite time of day is dawn, it's when the world is the quietest and I enjoy watching the sunrise. My favorite animal currently is a chick, I saw the newborn hatchlings at the Museum of Science and Industry recently and I can't stop thinking about how tiny they are!! The best piece of advice I've been given is to "live in the present". Cliché, I know, but I tend to get stuck on the past or worry too much about the future so it's a good reminder to stay in the moment."
