This summer, construction of the Annex at the Ashley U.S. Courthouse in Toledo, Ohio, was completed. We’re so proud of this project for many reasons including the impact it makes on the community and supporting the needs of the Northern District of Ohio. We welcome the new Region 5 Public Buildings Service Regional Commissioner, Russ Riberto!

Mr. Riberto is a Great Lakes Region alum starting his federal career here in the Career Intern Program. In his 20+ years of federal service, Mr. Riberto has worked in real estate, project management, and client delivery programs.

His new focus is to “strengthen GSA's overall mission and build confidence across our federal partners and the communities we serve.”

Deep energy retrofits renovate and modernize federal buildings to reduce site energy usage and greenhouse gasses. This is part of the White House’s Climate Smart Buildings Initiative to decarbonize federal buildings and prioritize environmental justice.

Deep energy retrofits use an integrative whole systems approach, bundled with Energy Conservative Measures to further cut energy, water usage and cost. ♻️

📯🎨 Calling all artists, calling all artists! Region 5 GSA - Art in Architecture has federal art commission opportunities available for future GSA art located within the Grand Portage Reservation. This project will be in association with the Grand Portage Land Port of Entry in Minnesota.

Artists who wish to be considered for this and more GSA art commission opportunities need to submit application materials to GSA’s National Artists Registry. No need to re-submit if you’re already on the registry, but don’t forget to keep your information current.
