CHICAGO, IL — The Northwest Side GOP Club proudly announces the appointment of Giuseppe S. Zerillo as its new Chairman, ushering in a new chapter of leadership for one of Chicago’s most active Republican organizations serving the Northwest Side communities.
A lifelong resident of the Northwest Side of Chicago and longtime Harwood Heights community leader, Zerillo brings decades of experience in public service, community engagement, business leadership, and political involvement to the role.
“I am honored to have been selected to serve as Chairman of the the Northwest Side GOP Club,” said Zerillo. “This organization has a long and proud history of advocating for our neighborhoods, supporting Republican values, and strengthening our local communities. I look forward to working with our members and leaders to continue growing the organization and building a stronger future for the Northwest Side.”
Zerillo currently serves as the Republican Committeeman for Norwood Park Township and as 2nd Vice President of the Italian American Political Coalition. Since 2017, he has served as an elected Trustee for the Village of Harwood Heights, where he has focused on responsible government, community development, and protecting the interests of local residents and businesses.
In addition to his public service, Zerillo is the owner and Designated Managing Broker of Zerillo Realty Inc., a successful real estate brokerage with two locations serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Chicagoland area. He is a member of the National, State, and Local Association of Realtors and the Multiple Listing System.
Deeply involved in the Italian-American community, Zerillo currently serves as a board member for Casa Italia, The Italian Cultural Center, and the Italian American Political Coalition, and is a member of the Italian American Executives of Transportation along with the Italian American Police Association of Illinois. Over the years, he has chaired numerous community events, including the Fall Festival and Christmas Village, and served as Master of Ceremonies for the Annual Man of the Year Dinner Dance.
Throughout his career, Zerillo has received numerous honors recognizing his commitment to community service and leadership, including the President’s Award from the Italian American Executives of Transportation, the David’s Award from the Italian Sons and Daughters of America, and the Illinois State Crime Commission’s Award of Excellence in Community Outreach.
Zerillo also expressed gratitude to outgoing Chairman Matt Podgorski for his leadership and dedication to the organization.
“I want to sincerely thank Matt Podgorski for his hard work, leadership, and commitment to the Northwest Side GOP Club,” Zerillo said. “Matt helped strengthen the organization and positioned it for continued success, and I look forward to building upon that foundation.”
The Northwest Side GOP Club serves residents and Republican voters throughout Chicago’s Northwest Side and surrounding communities by promoting civic engagement, grassroots activism, and conservative principles at the local and state levels.
