Job Opening With Amplify Chicago
Amplify Chicago, an initiative of the Academy Group, is an ambitious and innovative job training/educational program serving low income 18-24 year olds who have had contact with the criminal justice system. Seeking a creative and knowledgeable educator to design scope, sequence for financial literacy/investment curriculum. Lesson plan creation will include creating and adapting materials with a focus on incorporating multi-modalities and engaging multiple learning styles. Need someone who places a high premium on engaging learning environments. Opportunity to teach also available.

What is Amplify Chicago?
As an initiative of The Academy Group, Amplify focuses specifically on 17 to 24 year old young people who have had contact with the juvenile/criminal justice systems.
Amplify partners with community-based organizations (CBO) to identify justice involved young people who are motivated to achieve career-path employment.
The Amplify model includes personalized case management and coaching, career-specific academic curriculum, high engagement experiential learning, clinical supports, trauma- informed interventions, employment readiness training and immersive employment experiences. Working with select employment partners to provide living wage yearlong internships, Amplify equips both the employee and the employer.
By focusing on math skills, basic and then advanced, a core component of Amplify’s “special sauce” lies in access to career pathways that require foundational math skills.
