Chicago Fire Department Engine 18 was the first company organized after the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Engine 18 resided at Roosevelt and May from 1872 until it moved to its new quarters in 2008. Engine 18 has since become a filming location for NBCs Chicago Fire Station 51. (Truck 81, Squad 3, Ambulance 61) Engine 18 is rich in History and protects 2 pre-Great Chicago Fire Landmarks. Engine 18

proudly protects their great neighbors of the Near West Side, Pilsen, and the legendary Taylor Street.
