πŸ—³οΈ Our communities are strongest when every voice is heard.

As National Voter Registration Day approaches, we encourage everyone to check their voter registration status and inspire others to do the same. The decisions made today shape the opportunities, resources, and future of our neighborhoods for years to come.

Join Latino Agenda and in helping ensure every eligible voter is registered, informed, and ready to participate. Together, we can strengthen our communities one vote at a time.

A fresh environment can make a meaningful difference in a child's early learning experience.

Through their continued partnership with Metropolitan Family Services and the initiative, PNC Bank volunteers revitalized two classrooms at Addison Children's Center, our Early Head Start location serving children ages 0-3 in DuPage County.

This transformation creates brighter, more welcoming spaces where children can learn, explore, and grow, while supporting the families and educators who make these classrooms so special. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this project to life.

For nearly three decades, Chris and Tom Wood have brought family, friends, and community together in support of Family Shelter Service, a program of Metropolitan Family Services.

Now in its 29th year, their annual fundraising gathering continues to make a meaningful impact. This week, they stopped by with about $15,000 in donations raised through this year's event.

We are incredibly grateful for Chris and Tom's longstanding dedication and for every person who has contributed to this tradition of generosity. Together, you are helping provide safety, support, and hope to individuals and families affected by domestic violence.

Thank you for standing with Family Shelter Service year after year.

Empowerment starts with connection.

The words featured in this artwork reflect the values that help individuals and families thrive: empowerment, strength, healing, growth and community. Together, they represent a holistic approach to well-being that honors both personal resilience and the support we find in one another.

This meaningful piece was created by Joe Nelson (Cujo), the same artist behind the Mpower House mural, bringing these powerful themes to life through art.

Investing in students today helps build stronger communities tomorrow.

Metropolitan Family Services Southeast Center was proud to participate in three Back-to-School Fairs over two days, partnering with Alderman Peter Chico's Office, Claretian Associates, and the Steelworkers Park Advisory Council to help local families prepare for the upcoming school year.

Through these community events, we distributed 100 backpacks and 400 bags of school supplies, ensuring students have the tools they need to begin the school year ready to learn and thrive.

We are grateful for the support of our community partners and everyone who helped make these events a success. Together, we can continue removing barriers and creating opportunities for children and families throughout our communities.

Real change happens when people come together.

One of the benefits of sponsoring the Equal Access to Justice Award Luncheon is access to a special reception that brings together advocates, community leaders, and organizations committed to making justice accessible for all.

These gatherings are an opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, and strengthen the partnerships that help make legal aid possible.

Take a look at moments from last year's reception and learn how your organization can be part of this growing community of supporters.
