Our Story
Logan Square Neighborhood Association (LSNA) began in 1962 as a committed group of neighbors motivated by the emergence of community redlining. Today, we are a multi-issue community organization, directly serving more than 6,500 residents and impacting tens of thousands more through nationally-recognized issue campaigns and programs. LSNA engages families in Chicago’s Logan Square, Avondale & Hermosa communities via our 37 member institutions. With our partners, we develop leaders, organize issue campaigns, and operate innovative programs.
Our mission is to advance diversity, leader development, and models of engagement as the catalyst for social justice.
LSNA's work is driven by its Holistic Plan, collectively revised each year by local leadership, which contains 8 strategies for addressing the community's key concerns: building organizational capacity; affordable housing; early learning; education and community schools; high school youth development; post-secondary education; parent engagement; and immigration.

Thank you Logan Square Neighborhood Association for organizing today’s press conference. We must continue to fight for fair housing policies and funding to support our communities at every level of government
As a long time community resident and supporter of affordable housing, it was a pleasure to stand with Logan Square Neighborhood Association leaders this morning to advocate for the use of ARPA funds to help preserve affordable rental units.

When you tour St. Viator you will have the opportunity to observe how our mission and values are translated into the classroom. We believe every student has the opportunity to achieve academic excellence through fun and innovative in person instruction, which instills a strong reading and STEM foundation and fosters a life-long love of learning. Throughout their tenure at St. Viator, our students learn to respect the uniqueness of each individual and have compassion for everyone, especially those in need of our service. These values are at the core of everything we do and we hope you agree that this creates a welcoming and exciting place for your child to learn.
