🎨 We had our first ever Chicago Artist Salon on Saturday — a gathering of artists, cultural workers, and art-lovers recommitting themselves to the importance of art and culture in radical movements.

From an art gallery to a dance lesson, to a panel on the artist’s role in the liberation struggle, this artist salon was not just an exchange of ideas and artistic elements, but also a fundraiser for and with En Las Tablas Performing Arts, a performing arts organization in Hermosa that has been using culture and art to build a community front for immigrant rights for the past two decades.

The cultural and the political can never be separated from the work of the artist who has chosen the side of the working class liberation struggle. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
